Browser Information: This site uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), which allows for resizing of text and graphics to fit any size screen. It is set to auto size allowing text to reflow within areas and reducing need for scrolling on smaller screens. Unfortunately, this "auto" feature is not supported with Internet Explorer 6 (and below), and is especially noticable on monitors 15" and smaller. We are currently looking for a fix to this problem realizing that many people are still using this software and monitor combination.

Upgrade Options:

Windows Users: If you are using Windows XP or Vista you are probably using Internet Explorer 7.0 and are fine. If not, get it here. If you are running a system below XP and are concerned about installing Explorer 7.0 because of reported "sluggish" performance, you may want to consider installing the very popular Firefox browser. If you install Firefox, and like it, then use it. Meanwhile, your current version of Internet Explorer is still on your computer, untouched and ready to use. Special note: AOL has a compatible version of Internet Explorer 6 that supports this CSS feature.

Macintosh Users: If you are using OSX and Safari 1.0, you should upgrade to Safari 2.0 or 3.0. Firefox and Netscape are also available.

Adobe Acrobat Reader Note: This site also contains many links to pages that contain Acrobat Reader files (.pdfs). These files, when clicked, allow the user to open pages in Acrobat Reader. This is a free and very popular program that allows the user to view pages with crystal clear text and colorful photos/graphics. It also allows magnification, full screen viewing, printing and saving among other features. The four browsers below can all handle these files. When you click on a .pdf it will prompt you to save the file to your desktop, and then it may or may not open immediately (depending on preference settings). You may have to physically locate the file on the desktop and give it a double-click. Firefox (Windows version) and Safari will open the .pdf file right in the web browser, eliminating the clutter on your desktop, and sports the Adobe toolbar within the browser window - very handy. If you decide to go with Firefox or Safari, make sure you install it first and then install Adobe Acrobat second so plugins have a place to go.

Upgrade Links: All browsers listed below can be downloaded for free and installation is simple.

Internet Explorer: Windows only Firefox: Windows and Macintosh Safari: Windows and Macintosh Netscape: Windows and Macintosh
