Ronald Hoag
Ronald Hoag is one of the most important people involved in the Maumee Little League.
Nominated by Kevin Intagliata for the Bridge Award for youth community service, Hoag has been a Little League coach, board member and volunteer for more than 20 years.
A retired Toledo Public School teacher, Hoag has also served as a district administrator for more than 10 years.
“We who have children in the Maumee Little League are lucky to have someone like Ron that defines the word ‘volunteer,’” Intagliata said.
In 2007, Hoag coached two local teams and Intagliata said, “Ron’s passion to teach shows through with every practice or game he attends.”
Hoag also handled the concessionaire duties for Maumee’s three field locations last summer.
As a board member, Hoag serves to give order to the 600-700 youths who participate annually.
Being a district administrator, he oversees the Northwest Ohio leagues and he gives them a voice at the state and national level.
“The young people of Maumee are served well having a man of this caliber, doing all that needs to be done behind the scenes,” Intagliata said.
“Ron’s passion and his love of America’s pastime is being shared and continued by all that come in contact with him.”
