Thomas Lee Wallace, age 71, of Maumee, passed away on Thursday, November 23. Born in Dayton on July 28, 1946 to Ralph and DeSales (Schmidt) Wallace, he was many things professionally, but most of all a family man and great provider for his family. Being a car enthusiast and a “perfectionist,” Mr. Wallace loved to research and learn in great detail about everything. He was known for reading instructions thoroughly, counting and lining up all the pieces and reading all manuals before he would begin a project. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Parish in Toledo. Mr. Wallace is survived by his children, Jason (Kelly) Wallace, Jeremy Wallace and Leah (Michael) Wilson; grandchildren, Riley, Sylvia and Zoe; sisters, Sharon (Dr. Kenneth) Kropp and Vickie (Ron) Capitena; and nieces and nephews, Brent (Michelle) Ryan, Megan (David) Kalman, Jenna (Dennis) Burke and Cara (Steve) Young. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Lee Ryan. Family and friends were received on November 29 at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home in Maumee. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 30 at St. Joan of Arc Parish, followed by entombment in Highland Memory Gardens in Waterville.
