James Richard “Jim” Head, age 89, of Maumee, passed away on Wednesday, July 3.
Born in Maumee on November 10, 1929 to Ezra and Rose (Schneider) Head, he enjoyed ham radio, fishing, camping in Port Clinton and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his son, Jim (Kim) Head; daughter, Cindy (Dave) Brahier; grandchildren, Shayne (Samantha), Judy (John), Kristy (Gary), Katie (Nate), Jeremy and Bryant; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Almeda Dixon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Dawn Head; daughter, Judy; and granddaughters, Robyn and Annie.
Visitation and services took place on July 8 at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home in Maumee, followed by interment in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
Harriet Frances “Franny” Warnock, age 97, of Maumee, died peacefully on Thursday, July 4. Her health had been failing recently and she was under the fine care of hospice and her wonderful team at the Elizabeth Scott facility.
Franny was very proud of her large and wonderful family; her many personal and professional friends in the business and bridge communities; her long history as an active and devout Christian; and her active contributions to the Monclova, Maumee and Toledo communities.
A visitation for her many friends and family is planned for Friday, July 12 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home in Maumee. Additional visitation will take place on Saturday, July 13 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Maumee from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
Franny’s family plans to submit a complete obituary later, celebrating her long and very full life.
